From My Beginning To Yours- Blog #33


Upon returning from our family vacation this past Wednesday evening I got right into the gym, or the box as we call it in CrossFit, this morning. I loved seeing my 5 a.m. peeps and letting coach Bree get my butt in gear. Ready to start the day off right.

We had such a a memorable and fun family vacation to Los Angeles. Even while soaking up the family time, I was able to find time to make my fat cry, getting my workout on! Over several days I was able to complete DT, which consists of: 5 rounds of 12 deadlifts, 9 hang power cleans, and 6 push jerks, the family friendly Hollywood sign hike on the Charlie Turner Trail at Griffith Park, and thanks to my Fitbit I know we walked over 6 miles during our Disneyland day. My goal was to be mindful and keep moving while we were gone. I feel like I was able to accomplish that and have a great time with my family. Even if they were alarmed by the amount of times I deemed appropriate to break for air squats. Lol!!

This Saturday we are starting the Whole Life Challenge at CrossFit TNT. I have reading, shopping, and food prep to jump on for this but I am excited about our new challenge and seeing where it leads me over these next 2 months. This is 110% open to and welcoming of non CrossFit TNT members. It's not too late to join us!

I'm looking forward to participating in the upcoming Festivus Games with so many of my peer\s on Saturday, October 15th. This will be my 1st competition not in house at TNT. I'm glad I get to share it with such an awesome group of athletes!!

Looking forward to what the next few weeks will bring and seeing how this challenge compares and contrasts from the Lurong challenges I've done in recent months.
