From My Beginning To Yours- Blog #41

In 42 blogs and roughly 82 weeks this is the 2nd start of a New Year for me since I embarked on my CrossFit Journey. In the last Calendar year I participated in several nutrition challenges, The 2016 CrossFit Games Open, several in house CrossFit TNT competitions as well as 2 CrossFit Competitions at surrounding box's. I PR'D (set a personal record) for my 1 rep front squat at 193 lbs, back squat at 243 and deadlift at 303 lbs. I'm proud to say I can Snatch over 110 lbs and the list goes on.


In 2016, I got my first 20 in box jumps then PR'D with a 24 inch box jump just a few weeks ago.


After losing 50 lbs and transitioning just under 10 fat lbs to lean mass, my body has undergone 60lbs of transformation and a loss of many many inches.


And yet....this fitness journey is still my battle. 


I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother. Lover of life, the Lord, fun, food, friends and family. 
I'm tired most of the time, emotional...all of the time and am admittedly an emotional eater.
 So while I LOVE to lift, the fact remains, it's a daily decision and commitment to myself and the example I want to set for my kids that I continue to pursue the best me I can be physically.


I can't say enough how much I appreciate the community around me and support of the friends I have made along the way. I want to reach out to those of you reading this. No matter your weight, age or lifestyle there is something for you. Something to pursue to make you the healthiest version of you.


You don't have to drink the CrossFit kool-aid. Lol. Come to a 30 minute swift (boot camp) class, sign up for a nutrition consultation, try a free CrossFit class. There are so many different possibilities at many different price points and times each day.


If you are thinking you can't do this let me be the first to have faith in you and say- Yes, you can! I could not hold onto a pull up bar or do an air squat when I started my journey. Jump on board! You'll never have a better group of people to join or opportunity for as many laughs as can be found at CrossFit TNT.
