Writing this has probably been more difficult and challenging than any WOD that I have ever competed. I hate talking about myself, but I hope that my story may help another woman/girl/my daughter accept and love herself for who she is.

I have been around for about 3 years now. Most of you know my story, blah blah blah…I used to be a runner and was somewhat successful at it. I competed at the D1 level and specialized in the 1500/mile. I continued to run after college to maintain that perfect size 2/4 body. Let’s be honest…what woman is not pressured to regain her pre baby body? One day I woke up and could not run anymore.

I joined CrossFit TNT to get back in shape after gaining a bunch of weight. I kind of just hung out for 2 years working out and getting to know people. I can’t tell you what clicked back in January of 2015 but something did. Maybe it was the CF Open or the Lurong Challenge? I will never forget the Open workout where the entire gyn was there cheering me on and I “almost” completed (just 1 rep short) a very challenging WOD. Since then I have been challenged by both coaches adding weights to the barbell without me knowing and laughing at my expressions (hmmm…Kyle!) and the athletes always challenging me to complete WODs RX and having more confidence in myself than I do to actually compete. I used to work out to be skinny but now I work out to have fun. It’s amazing what I have accomplished with that mind change. I no longer care to be that “perfect” size 2/4 body. I am just happy being me and having so much fun! I have met the most amazing people at TNT. I am blessed and grateful to know each and every one of you!
